After spending time in Boston going to school and working, we returned to Maine to set up a production facility in Rumford for a screen printing company out of Boston specializing in preprint work. With Joe managing production and Tara managing the office, we ran this shop together for three years before deciding to try custom screen printing on our own. We kept the same Congress Street location and opened our business in 2002. How did we get our name? We put our names together, switching the first letters. Yeah, pretty clever. But it stuck, and we went with it! Jarato Screen Printing & Design was born, later becoming just "Jarato" as we began to offer more services. Our motto, "It's your image, get it out there!", emphasizes our commitment to our customers and our dedication to making them look great. Our business philosophy is simple, as it comes from the heart and impacts every area of our lives. When we started the business, we gave it to the Lord, and His teachings govern every decision that we make. That means we are honest in every aspect of our business. It means we strive to serve our customers in every way we can. It means we regard our clients' needs as more important than our own. And it means we treat others as we would want to be treated, whether they be clients, employees, vendors, or delivery people.
